This is a gentle Chair Yoga class that will thoroughly stretch and loosen your body, with some strengthening and balancing movements and poses. Allow 45 minutes for this gentle class, although this time allows for a generous "chat" time at the beginning, prayers, and scripture readings.
These classes are held regularly on Zoom and are only available to purchasers of an Online Membership with Christ-Centered Yoga Reflections LLC. You can purchase a monthly or yearly online membership to access (and cancel anytime).
It is up to you if you want to keep your camera on or off during the class, or if you stay for the entire class. I do encourage you, however, to keep your camera on and participate fully, so you will feel more a part of the class, and I can support you more!
I recommend that you use a sturdy chair without arms, placed on a yoga mat or a carpet, so it will not slip. Optional props you may use are light hand weights or stretchy bands (both long and looped types).
HOW IT WORKS:
1. First, purchase your monthly or annual Online Membership from the Memberships and Packages page.
2. Then register for your class on the schedule page (right here).
3. You’ll get a confirmation email with the Zoom link and a reminder email one day before the class.
4. At the scheduled time, join the Zoom class with the link in your email.
*Classes may occasionally be canceled by Christ-centered Yoga Reflections. Pre-registrants will get an email when this happens. Canceling is rare, but sickness and emergencies happen!

Susan VanMeakins has been teaching Christ-centered yoga since 2021 and grew up immersed in Christian teachings as a “preacher’s kid” and throughout adulthood in several denominations. She was inspired to teach fitness from a Christian perspective by Alisa Keeton, founder of Revelation Wellness, and Christian spiritual disciplines by Adele Ahlberg Calhoun, author of The Spiritual Disciplines Handbook. Susan studied yoga with Kristin Gibowicz, owner and lead trainer of Living Soul Institute, and graduated from their 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2021 and 300-hour advanced training in 2024. She specializes in teaching gentle yoga on a mat or a chair, combined with Christian spiritual disciplines, biblical scripture readings, and prayer.
